I think even today plenty of women face discrimination. Gender inequality is still an important problem. For most areas in life, we can recognize discrimination, and the work area is one of them. For instance, plenty of women, even if they work under the same conditions and same positions get a lower salary than men. Furthermore, they get the same education but the situation does not change. Also, women have to face discrimination when they want to rise in the workplace.
Unfortunately, we see few successful women leaders in the world. Although they have enough quality, women prefer not to be a leader.
When I watch Hidden Figures, I thought that this is a wonderful inspiration for lots of women that always hear you cannot do it because you are a woman. Whether we realize it or not, we always face the idea that as a woman we have boundaries that are already drawn for us and we cannot get out of it.
Sometimes even if we believe it, we believe that we are not enough.
